Our diverse, seasoned team of clinical and organizational specialists have a proven track record of effectuating change at community-based organizations and health care systems resulting in the adoption of practices which improve patient/client satisfaction that leads to greater engagement in care, improved adherence to treatment and better health outcomes. Using innovative and evidence-based approaches to practice transformation, our technical assistants have helped create and support organizations in their pursuit to identify and remedy service gaps and barriers. This work has led to the development of sustainable infrastructures at hospitals; health departments; schools and universities; and a variety of community-based organizations working on social justice issues, such as homelessness, violence, substance abuse, and health disparities more generally.
Community Health Worker Integration
CHI’s technical assistance supports the recruitment, retention and integration of community health workers to enable clinical staff to practice at the top of their license and to address the social determinants that impact health outcomes. We can help your organization optimize practices to improve the patient experience of care; improve the overall health of populations and reduce the per capita cost of healthcare.
Community-Based Participatory Research and Qualitative Research
Our team brings a wealth of experience and language skills to assist hospitals, universities, community-based organizations, and other entities with meaningfully engaging diverse communities and community members in a variety of research activities.
Our activities have included conducting community health assessments, focus groups and research interviews. Past clients have included: UMass Worcester; UMass Lowell; UMass Medical School; MA Department of Public Health; MA Association of Community Health Workers; Joint Coalition on Health; Montachusetts Public Health Network; and Community Health Connections.
Customized Curriculum Design
We work with organizations, agencies, and employers to create customized curricula for health workers, including Community Health Workers and other frontline public health workers.
