CHW Core Competency Course

The power of Community Health Workers comes in their unique understanding of the experience, language and/or culture of the populations they serve.

Our 80-hour Community Health Worker Core Competency Course equips participants with the practical tools necessary to help lead their patients to greater engagement in health care, improved adherence to treatment, and better health outcomes.

This course focuses on increasing the overall capacity of CHWs. The workshop is built upon the 10 core competencies as defined by the Massachusetts Board of Certification of Community Health Workers.

The course is led by CHI’s team of seasoned instructors who have conducted CHW training locally, nationally, and globally. The team also includes instructors who are presently working as CHWs.
