Successful Supervision with Community Health Workers recognizes that CHW Supervisors play a pivotal role in establishing a quality CHW workforce, yet all too often have not been equipped with the resources necessary to ensure their team members function most effectively in their roles. Drawing from the professional literature and the CHW Supervisor experience, the two-day Workshop employs a culturally responsive systems-thinking approach to challenges confronting CHW Supervisors. It aims to build the capacity of Supervisors to provide more responsive and informed supervision for the CHWs on their team. Workshop participants will learn about available resources and apply practical tools designed to improve supervisory practices.
This two-day workshop focuses on key topics areas identified and prioritized by CHW Supervisors and informed by insights from subject matter experts in community health, education, and related fields.
Cost and Eligibility
Participants will have no out of pocket costs. Individuals who currently supervise CHWs (or the supervisors of CHWs) and who are employed at a MassHealth ACO or Community Partner (CP), or an associated entity, are eligible to apply.
